A Midsummer Night's Dream - Masterworks Theatre Company

PictureThe Lovers on opening night: Reynaldo Piniella, Sheria Irving, Becca Ballenger, and Emilio Tirado
Warm-blooded, frolicsome and splendidly cast, this production at the 47th Street Theater leads with its heart. Nimbly played, the lively young lovers seem as if they could live down the street... They swoon, and we feel their rapture. They torment one another, and we pity their pain.
   -New York Times (Critic's Pick)

A magical 100 minutes of a show… the women are the standout here, with Ms. Ballenger on my list to watch.
   -Times Square Chronicle

Smart, engaging and very funny actors... The lovers are delightful, especially the alternately adored and spurned Athenian maidens played by Irving and Ballenger.
   -Stage Buddy

Becca Ballenger as Helena brought the funny... Her bits with Irving’s Hermia were some of the comedic high points.

Steel Magnolias - Geva Theatre Center

Iconic Brady Bunch actress Eve Plumb stars in timeless play 'Steel Magnolias' at Geva

[Ballenger] blossoms from a "lost pup"... into a woman who is often a source of humor.

Ballenger as Annelle... grabs hearts with her sincerity.

White Lightning - Alabama Shakespeare Festival

PictureBecca with the Alabama Gang: Red Farmer, Bobby Allison, and Donnie Allison
Most of the best scenes are between [Matthew Goodrich and Becca Ballenger] who seem to bring out the best in each other. Goodrich is believable in the role of McCallister, but never more so than when on stage with Ms. Ballenger. She makes him calmer and more relatable whenever they are together.
    -BroadwayWorld

This production is driven by its acting.  Goodrich and Ballenger are center stage as McAllister and the woman he loves, and both give fine leading performances.
   -Montgomery Advertiser

The acting ensemble are all solid in their characterizations. There is a sweetly youthful romantic discovery between Mr. Goodrich and Ms. Ballenger.

A Midsummer Night's Dream - Alabama Shakespeare Festival

Bottom all but steals the comedy... but Becca Ballenger as Hermia, the woman first loved by two suitors then spurned by them, gives him some serious competition... Ballenger, Thompson, Sherman, and Goodrich show a wonderful talent for physical comedy as the lovers.
   -Montgomery Advertiser

The frenetic fights among the four youthful lovers [match their] extraordinary timing of Shakespeare's witty dialogue with full athletic commitment to Parke Fech's inventive fight choreography.
    -Theatre Montgomery

Absolution - St. Luke's Theatre

Becca Ballenger delivers a particularly noteworthy comedic performance as Marie, Ethan's social-climbing fiance.

IDAHO STATESMAN review
For her part Ballenger takes the usually undersold and cast aside Annelle and, like a first-class magician, transforms her through the months into three completely distinct portraits; each complete with a gradients of a balletic clumsiness, each lovable and wonderfully strange, and each detailed and cared for as her wigs.
        --Kemper Corner
Beautifully brought to life... Ballenger is lovely to watch as she navigates her character's arc from troubled bad girl to born again Christian fanatic.
       --Idaho Statesman

The Hero - Metropolitan Playhouse

An exceptional revival... Ms. Ballenger never strikes a false note.  --NYTimes
A robust, beautifully acted production... Becca Ballenger manages to grow from servant to independent woman seemingly in charge of her life... a living, breathing work of art. --Theater Pizzazz

American Stare - New Jersey Rep

Jonatha is marvelously portrayed by Becca Ballenger... To watch Ballenger try to maintain her composure when events conspire against Jonatha makes for a heartbreaking performance.  -- NJ Star Ledger

Ms. Ballenger invests Jonatha with considerable youthful fervor. --NY Times

Ballenger fully captures and maintains the carriage, movement, and physical attitudes of a 15-year-old adolescent as she skillfully navigates the dramatic waters in which Jonatha finds herself. -- Talkin' Broadway

A bright spot was Becca Ballenger, who exuded energy and joy. I wish this young talent eventual great success. -- HyReviews

NY Times on A Midsummer Night's Dream:

"Warm-blooded, frolicsome and splendidly cast, this production at the 47th Street Theater leads with its heart. Nimbly played, the lively young lovers seem as if they could live down the Street...They swoon, and we feel their rapture. They torment one another, and we pity their pain. When something is funny, which is often, the audience bubbles with belly laughter. The quality of mirth here is not strained, not even close, and thank goodness for that."
